Our day starts fishing for mackerel for bait and for the pan if required.
There are several types of fishing in the area.
You do not have to decide what type of fishing you would like to try because we can anchor for part of the day and drift the rest or if you are happy with the fishing at anchor we can stay anchored or we can stay drifting if the fishing is good. But sometimes the weather or the tide will decide for us but what ever happens we hope you will have a successful and enjoyable day and we do our very best to get you fish.
We will put you over them but you have to catch them and we will give you every assistance and advice you require.
FISHING GROUNDS
The fishing grounds cover from the lighthouse on Valentia, up east into Kells Bay, North of Valentia along the back of the island down to Bray Head at the end of the island and on the the Skelligs and the deep banks which are between 3 and 10 miles from the end of Valentia, or the famous and beautiful Blasket Islands.
Sometimes weather will dictate where we fish or even if we fish and for safety reasons the skippers decision is final. We do not take the Atlantic Ocean lightly, after all it is supposed to be an enjoyable days outing.
